Getting started

Your first week

If we set AllAisles up for you, most of this is done before you open. Either way, this is the order that works best — each step builds on the one before.

1. Check your settings and rates

In the back office, open Settings & rates. Set your default commission and listing-service rate, your card fee and who pays it, your sales tax, shipping charges and how often you pay dealers. See Settings & rates.

2. Add your booths

Open Booths and add each booth with its code (the label on the floor, like A-12), location, size and monthly rent.

3. Add your dealers

Open Vendors → New vendor & login. Enter their details, tick their booth, and set their commission and listing-service rate. Saving creates their login and shows a temporary password once — hand it to them. See Dealers & booths.

4. Add your staff

Open Staff and create a login for each manager and cashier. If you’re the owner, open Roles & permissions first and decide what managers and cashiers may do. See Staff, roles & permissions.

5. Get inventory in

Dealers list their own items from their portal (The dealer portal), or your staff list items for them with the listing-service fee applied (Listing items for dealers). Either way, print price tags with barcodes and put them on the pieces.

6. Ring up a test sale

Open the register, scan a tag, take cash, and print the receipt. Then search the storefront for the item: it’s gone. Refund the test order from Orders to put it back. See Using the register.

Tip: do steps 2 and 3 together for each dealer — creating the dealer is where you assign their booth, and that’s what creates their login.
